What Should You Be Looking For While Renting an Apartment in Greece?

Renting an apartment in Greece may not be a major problem but finding out a suitable location may be an altogether different proposition. For example the cities like Athens have their high and low areas. Similarly, the urban areas and sub-urban areas by the side of the sea have their own flairs.
Some strange pre-conditions will be there for you for renting an apartment in areas like the Pelion. Sometimes in places like Glyfada and Voula it would be having a rented Mercedes Car. At other places like Ekali and Kifissia it would be a “no entrance” mark for those who use Wall Mart clothes. And there are places like Syntagma and Plaka that are as expensive as the others but the deals would be better with lesser pre-conditions.
If you are not place-conscious and are like the rest of the people then you can easily get an apartment at fair price in places like Thission and Makirianni etc. One particular consideration for you would be to stay as close as possible to the center of the township as they will have better transport facilities and you will not be stranded when a strike takes place as it occurs with alarming frequencies here. Another reason is that apartments come cheaper than the houses for sale in Greece.
Low income areas are however not recommended to buy properties since they are not conducive to tension free life that you wish to lead. Amenities are also not up to the standards in these places. For this you could avoid any of the streets that start with the alphabet L.
